Megan Andrew was born in Houston Texas at the height of the Shuttle program. As the daughter of an aerospace engineer and a bookseller, she was weaned from her mother’s milk to the fiber of Science fiction and fantasy at a young age. She was drawn to the arts and in particular oil painting due to family history with the media. She graduated from San Jacinto College with an Associate of Fine Art in 2015. She completed an internship with the San Jacinto College Gallery that same year. After a brief stint at Texas A&M, she transferred to receive her Art and Design Bachelor of Fine arts degree at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2019.
Currently Megan has a strong focus on animal portraits, in particular aquatic life, and larger narrative paintings and drawings focusing on narrative scenes. Her work has been displayed in 2013 and 2014 at San Jacinto College and the 2019 Bachelor of Fine Arts exhibition at the University Of Houston-Clear Lake.
